The extensive sample size within TCGA provides an invaluable resource for investigating tumor heterogeneity. Effective exploration of this dataset by researchers and clinicians is essential for discovering novel therapeutic and diagnostic biomarkers. "The pan-cancer proteome atlas, a mass spectrometry-based landscape for discovering tumor biology, biomarkers, and therapeutic targets" by Jaco Knol et. al under the guidance of Connie Jimenez published in Cancer Cell. "Most cancer proteomics studies to date have focused on a single cancer type. We report The Pan-Cancer Proteome Atlas (TPCPA) based on data-independent acquisition mass spectrometry, to better understand cancer biology and identify therapeutic targets and biomarkers.
